Schwartz: The Sound of Taste

New Schwartz Advert 2014I really enjoyed this new TV spot for Schwartz, which is so visually pleasing and satisfying to watch. It’s also reminiscent of Sony’s recent 4KTV commercial, or the Canon Pixma ad by Dentsu, but I think that Grey – the agency behind this advert – have made the concept work for Schwartz and injected just the right amount of originality into it. The naturally vibrant colours look gorgeous together, and I like the way that they have decided to mix futuristic robo-appliances with those rustic spice sacks.

Absolut Originality

ImageFollowing the hugely successful ABSOLUT Unique campaign, ABSOLUT vodka have once again rethought their bottle design so that 4 million limited edition bottles can be produced. While their previous production method seemed to embrace a chaotic ‘more is more’ ethos to bottle design, the new ABSOLUT bottles have a single streak of cobalt running through the glass, which is uncontrolled and therefore different each time. The manufacturing process is detailed in the ‘behind the scenes’ video below.

These new bottles, with clear glass and an abstract, minimalistic design also seem to reflect the recent rebrand of ABSOLUT’s range of flavoured vodkas, which was done by The Brand Union. Take a look at the transformation below, if you haven’t already seen the new designs.

ImagePrior to the rebrand, the bottles were made of frosted glass with subtle colour gradients or accents to represent each flavour.

The new designs boast a striking motif on a clear glass bottle…ImageIt looks as though the design process for ABSOLUT Raspberri was a lot of fun!

Selfridges Johnnie Walker Window

Creative agency LOVE has worked with department store Selfridges on a window installation in the flagship Oxford Street store. The window display brings the Johnnie Walker ‘Where Flavour is King’ campaign to life and was created by set production company, Millington Associates. As much as I want to see it, Oxford Street during December is very much on my ‘avoid at all costs’ list. However, if you do end up squashed in the Christmas season rush, you should go check it out.

Or you could just watch the video below…
